The Florida City Villa stands as a beacon of innovation and community integration, boasting a harmonious blend of commercial, residential, and outdoor market spaces interconnected by inviting balconies - eat, live, work. The diversity of apartment types and the inviting indoor-outdoor aspect of the complex is designed to promote the growth of Florida City. Sustainability is an important aspect, as the original trees of the site are kept, and large residential balconies allow for crop planting and vertical gardens. Such sets the tone for future developments in the area. The overall feeling of the space is of happiness and relaxation, through sounds of children playing, smell of fresh food, enclosure of nature, and an overall sense of community and belonging.

Working on the Florida City Villa was an inspiring journey of community-building and sustainability. I was both challenged and thrilled by the fact that this development had the power to set the tone for future developments and the potential to become a hub for so many human connections. With the help of my Professor and the insightful feedback of Jacqueline and Carlos Touzet, I believe to have created an inviting and joyful project.
